European esports organisation G2 Esports has extended its existing partnership with gaming monitor and peripherals brand AGON by AOC.
As a result, the brand will equip the organisation’s training facility with its latest range of gaming monitors, which have reportedly been developed using input from G2’s players.
The collaboration between the two parties dates back to January 2018, with the extension making AGON by AOC one of the organisation’s longest-serving partners. The length of the extension was not disclosed.
Stefan Sommer, Global Head of Marketing and Business Management at AOC International Europe, spoke on the extension: “With the great G2 Esports team on our side, our claim of wanting to bring esports monitors for extreme gamers to the market gets real legitimacy, through the proven success of the organisation whilst using our monitors.”
“This sponsorship inspired and helped us to identify what their needs are, so we can come up with and provide the latest innovations and technologies to deliver gamers what they really need to become winners.”
G2 Esports has a total of 19 partners on its roster ranging from NFT solutions provider Bondly to energy drinks brand Red Bull. Moreover, the organisation recently unveiled its expansion into music, launching a record label alongside its debut single ‘Our Way‘.
Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez, Founder and CEO of G2 Esports, added: “We are now in our 5th year of partnership with AGON by AOC. This is incredible considering how quickly everything in esports moves. AOC’s monitor quality is unmatched and it is crucial for us to make sure that our players have the best hardware at their disposal to perform. 20G2 is our year and we are proud that AGON by AOC is sharing their journey with ours.”
Esports Insider says: G2 Esports maintaining its relationship with AGON by AOC is a sign the partnership is benefitting both parties. It will be interesting to see if the collaboration evolves over the course of 2022.
